Hearts of Art theatre group is bringing you the second showing of All I Ever Wanted, a riveting act that explores the intricacies of living double lives. The play will be happening at Mageuzi Theatre, PAWA 254, along State House Crescent Rd.
The producers of the play promise a performance that ‘is an explosion of laughter and tears like never seen before.’
All I Ever Wanted is written by veteran thespian, Walter Sitati and directed by Michael Omuga. Among the cast are various familiar faces in the world of theatre such as Ellsey Adhiambo who was cast in Hearts of Art’s inaugural show Ex Man as well as Scars. I this show, she appears as Laura, ‘a smart, and dignified start litigant, who while giving her all to her work, must try and put to rest demons from her past.’
Award winning actress Tracy Amodi plays Tricia, ‘a well-meaning but often misunderstood teen with a spiritual twist that is too hard to forget.’
Grace Waihuini plays Meghan, ‘a woman who has been jumping paddles with the hope of reaching the ocean but always lands in a swamp. Now she is on a mission and she will take no prisoners.’
The person around whom the play revolves is Peter Kawa, who appears as Judge Harvey. Comical act Elvis Gatere will also be in play as well as the script writer himself, Walter Sitati, who takes the role of ‘a quick witted and brilliant lawyer with questionable ethical choices and some strange quirks that make his character one that we hate to love,’ among other actors.
This Friday (today) and Saturday (tomorrow), all roads lead to Mageuzi Theatre. That’s the plot.
